ACES Health Care offers a flexible approach to each assignment. Certain positions
are most effectively filled by direct search. Other positions are most economically dealt with by
advertising and sometimes a combination of the two is the most suitable way. We evaluate case by
case which method is the most cost effective, and tailor-make our approach accordingly. At ACES
Health Care we have one dedicated researcher per assignment whilst all candidates are interviewed
and assessed by the same Key Account Manager. ACES Health Care will report on the selection
progress in regular intervals.
The stages in a recruitment assignment would include:
- The Client Briefing
For each specific assignment, ACES Health Care needs a detailed briefing on the reasons for the
vacancy, the organisational issues, the position, the incumbent's key accountabilities and the
ideal candidate profile. Based on the Client Briefing, ACES Health Care will draft an Assignment
Brief.
- The Collaboration Proposal
Based on the Client Briefing we will forward a proposal which addresses the following
sections:
A recapitulation of the briefing and our understanding of the situation.
A step by step description of our approach to the assignment.
The fee structure.
The agenda and timelines.
The responsible consultant(s) and other staff involved.
Signed by the client and the consultant, the proposal forms the Collaboration Agreement.
- The Assignment Brief
The Assignment Brief is a reference document for the search process. The document describes in
detail:
The Client Company.
The Position, including key accountabilities.
The Candidate Profile.
The elements of the compensation package.
Who to contact.
The client will review and approve the Assignment Brief before it is released to any
potential candidate.
- The Search Process
The consultant will identify a list of potential companies likely to hold candidates with the
desired profile. A search is performed by the consultant and his assistant researcher(s). An
internal "long list" of potential candidates is drawn up and the most suitable candidates will be
invited for a face-to-face interview with the consultant who prepares the Short List for
presentation to the client.
- The Short List Presentation
The number of candidates presented will depend on the characteristics of the job and on candidate
availability. ACES Health Care will only introduce candidates relevant to the position and will
not add less suitable candidates to the list in order to present a certain minimum.
- Post-placement Follow-up
ACES Health Care consultants follow-up with the successful candidate during the first 6 months of
employment and will provide feed-back to the client.
